Several early pregnancy signs can show up about the time you've missed your period or two or three weeks later. The only way to know that you're pregnant for sure is to take a pregnancy test. But there are some early symptoms of pregnancy which may point to the possibility of pregnancy.

Signs and symptoms of early pregnancy

Some of the most
common symptoms of early pregnancy are described below :

1. Morning Sickness, Nausea & Vomiting during pregnancy

Morning Sickness is one of the most common symptoms of early pregnancy. During early pregnancy, the level of the Estrogen hormone rises rapidly which leads to nausea and vomiting. These symptoms can occur at any time during the day or night. Some pregnant women experience mild morning sickness while some may experience severe morning sickness especially during the first trimester of pregnancy.

2. Missed Period during pregnancy

When implantation is completed your body will start producing a hormone called HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin). When your body starts producing this hormone then your ovaries stop releasing mature eggs every month and you'll miss your period. You can take a pregnancy test to confirm your pregnancy. A pregnancy test can detect the level of HCG hormones in your urine and will show a positive result if you're pregnant.

3. Headaches during pregnancy

Some women experience mild headaches during early pregnancy which generally happens due to the hormonal changes in the body of a pregnant woman.

4. Slight Bleeding & White milky discharge during pregnancy

Many times spotting or vaginal bleeding is also one of the first symptoms of pregnancy. It is also known as Implantation Bleeding. Implantation Bleeding happens when the fertilized egg attaches itself to the wall of the uterus. It generally happens 7-15 days after fertilization. Implantation Bleeding is lighter and spottier in color than a normal period and it does not last for long. Besides bleeding a white milky discharge can also be seen discharging from the vagina. This discharge is harmless and can continue throughout the pregnancy. This causes due to the increased growth of cells lining the vagina.

5. Cramping during pregnancy

Many women feel abdominal cramping during early pregnancy. These abdominal crampings are similar to menstrual cramping.

7. Tender & Swollen Breasts during pregnancy

After two weeks of conception, women may feel their breasts tingly, sore, and tender. This happens due to hormonal changes. This will likely go away after a few weeks when your body has adjusted to the hormones.  The area around the nipple grows larger and may change to a darker color.

When progesterone hormone rises rapidly then the food passes slowly through the intestines that lead to constipation and abdominal bloating.
